Each year we invite the ‘pet lady’ to visit our school to allow the children to see, touch and learn about animals, these included: Tortoise, Hedgehog, Kitten, Iguana, Rabbit, Duck, Chinchilla, Guinea pig, Snake, Puppy, Hamster and Gerbil.

This was a great opportunity for the children to meet pets that they may otherwise have never encountered. Although educational in its content the day was entertaining and all the children were very interested and not only have they learnt about new animals they also gained knowledge of the animals’ habitat and eating habits.
